Allied Member Showcase & Cocktail Hour

Twenty-seven of our Allied Member Companies were set up in a trade-show format showcasing their latest offerings to a packed room of Contractor Members.

In Loving Memory

Phil Guerrieri Sr. Honored

The memory and achievements of Phillip Guerrieri Sr. were honored during the invocation with a moment of reflective silence by the membership.  Phil passed away suddenly on April 6.  Phil's contribution to our membership through his tireless leadership on both the national NCPWB and our local NCPWB Chapter 9 board will have a lasting effect on the productivity and profitability of all M&SCA Members.

M&SCA's Tim Brink Honored for 10 Years of Service

MCA President Mark Rogers and SCA President Add Anderson surprised Tim Brink with a token of gratitude for 10 years of service as M&SCA's Executive Vice President.

The MCA of Eastern PA and the

SCA of Greater Delaware Valley Officially

Become M&SCA of Eastern PA, Inc.

As a sign of partnership, common goals, and a continuing effort to bring more value to the members of the Association, the MCA and SCA Boards of Directors began the plan to merge the two Associations at it's annual Board of Directors Retreat last October.  By merging the financial activities of the Associations, resources will become available to provide more benefits of membership to our members.  The details of the merger were sent to all MCA and SCA Contractor and Allied Member Principles and were briefly discussed during the meeting.  A vote on a motion that was seconded to approve the creation of the M&SCA of Eastern PA was unanimously approved by both memberships.

NCPWB Chapter 9 Elections

The NCPWB Chapter 9 held their annual elections for expiring board seats.  The following people graciously stepped up to serve to join current board member John McNeila.  Election of officers and appointment of the Chapter 9 Technical Committee will take place at the next Board and Technical Committee Meeting.

Jim Dougherty Jr. - Nooter Construction Company

Hobie Hoops - Nooter Construction Company

Larry Conner - Shelby Mechanical

Pat Quinn - Riggs Distler and Company

M&SCA Members are Recognized for their

Achievements in Safety with the Presentation of the

2017 M&SCA Safety Awards

Every year the M&SCA honors our members who have made a commitment to safety by presenting our Annual M&SCA Safety Awards.  The awards and certificates are presented to Contractor Member companies who have safety records that are at least 25% below the National Industry Average for Total Recordable Incident Rate and for Lost Work Days.  This year along with our First Place winners receiving a trophy, members with perfect safety records received an Excellence in Safety trophy.  Since the inception of our Safety Directors Committee in 2009 and the first awards presentation in 2010 the number of qualifying members has increased from six (6) in 2010 to twenty-three (23) in 2017.  Thank you to our Safety Directors Committee for making a huge impact! Get your safety team involved by joining the committee.

A Sneak Peak at the M&SCA Training Vault

Coming this Fall, the M&SCA will will out a new benefit of membership.  The M&SCA Training Vault will be an online system that provides the ability of our members to view the MCAA Safety Videos, track the test, and archive the results.  Members will also be able to upload and document all employee training and certification through their own company portal.  This benefit will take the place of many expensive third party alternates on the market today.  More information will be coming in the next few months.
