M&SCA Tuition Reimbursement Program
The M&SCA’s Tuition Reimbursement Program supports salaried and trade union employees of contractor members in pursuing degrees or certificates that enhance professional development. Eligibility and conditions for reimbursement are subject to change by the MCA Board of Governors.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
• Open to employees of MCA and SCA member companies who meet eligibility criteria.
• Covers up to $2000 for degree or non-degree programs in related fields.
• Covers up to 50% of tuition costs for the Rowan University Construction Management Certificate Program.
ELIGIBILITY
1. Must be a full-time employee of an M&SCA member contractor with at least $2000 in Industry Fund contributions over two consecutive years.
2. Tradespeople must belong to LU420 or LU690.
3. Must work within the M&SCA jurisdiction.
4. Cannot be an owner or principal stockholder of the company.
5. Must have company principal approval.
6. Courses must be job-related and part of a program at an accredited institution.
7. Employment with an M&SCA member contractor must continue while participating.
GENERAL REIMBURSEMENT CONDITIONS
1. Submit the Tuition Reimbursement Application within 30 days of class start.
2. Complete courses with a grade of C or better.
3. Provide an official transcript and paid tuition receipt (textbooks and admission fees excluded).
4. Declare other financial aid, and reimbursement will be adjusted accordingly.
5. Submit a new application for each semester.
6. Maximum reimbursement: $400 per semester, $2000 lifetime cap.
ROWAN UNIVERSITY CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT CERTIFICATE CONDITIONS
1. Submit the Tuition Reimbursement Application within 30 days of class start.
2. Complete courses with a grade of C or better.
3. Provide an official transcript and paid tuition receipt (textbooks and admission fees excluded).
4. Declare other financial aid, and reimbursement will be adjusted accordingly.
5. Submit a new application for each course.
6. Receive:
o 25% reimbursement after each course.
o Additional 25% upon completing the certificate.
o No $2000 lifetime cap.
