FAQ – Cranes & Derricks in Construction: Operator Qualification

On November 10, 2018, the requirement that employers ensure their operators are certified for the type of crane they operate took effect.  The new provisions of the final rule took effect on December 10, 2018, with the exception of the new evaluation and documentation requirements, which take effect February 7, 2019.
