The Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) serves the unique needs of approximately 2,500 firms involved in heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, piping, and mechanical service. They do this by providing their members with high-quality educational materials and programs to help them attain the highest level of managerial and technical expertise. MCAA includes the Mechanical Service Contractors of America, the Plumbing Contractors of America, the Manufacturer/Supplier Council, the Mechanical Contracting Education and Research Foundation and the National Certified Pipe Welding Bureau.

MCAA Empowers The Industry to Create a Better Future. In fact, it’s their vision. Their mission is to always exceed their members’ rising expectations. They accomplish this mission by responding quickly and creatively to their members’ needs and challenges, by striving to increase the return on their investment, by embracing change, and by capitalizing on new opportunities. The work carried out by MCAA’s foundation, the Mechanical Contracting Education & Research Foundation (MCERF) is central to their mission to create a better future.

During the past two years, MCERF has carried out research and published results on a number of important industry issues. And, through its Funding Educational Excellence program, MCERF provides material support for student internship grants, emerging student chapter grants, and student chapter of excellence grants—a real investment in the future of the industry.

Since 1975, the Mechanical Service Contractors of America has provided large and small heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration service contractors with management and marketing tools, training and education programs, and government and labor relations. MSCA has more than 1,400 contractor members and is a subsidiary of the Mechanical Contractors Association of America.

MSCA provides its members with a variety of educational materials and events uniquely tailored to the needs of the mechanical service contractor. This includes:

  • An annual educational conference
  • Regional seminars and training for service managers, sales personnel, dispatchers and more
  • Printed and electronic publications, including labor estimating guide, basics of service management, hazardous materials transportation guide and others
  • A comprehensive group of safety programs and training materials
